Comprehensive support from our experts
Due to global transport and supply flows, the establishment of a careful raw material monitoring programme is the essential base to ensure quality and safety of your flavours. In particular, the analysis of pesticides and contaminants is a crucial element to fulfill the requirements for international quality assurance standards.
At the same time, authenticity testing can be used to determine other quality parameters, as well as the authenticity and purity of the raw materials, in order to prevent adulteration and food fraud.
In addition to raw material quality control, our extensive network of expertise enables us to provide you with the appropriate services for testing and validation of cleaning and processing procedures.
Our industry experts with many years of experience will assist you in creating individual and product specific monitoring plans. Based on extensive and representative data we can further support you in defining risk-oriented testing parameters to allow for a comprehensive safety assessment.
EOL: Sample tracking from online registration to test report
Our free Eurofins OnLine (EOL) service allows you to monitor the quality of your goods digitally, transparently and efficiently. This means you can keep track of all analytical results, from the testing of your raw materials and intermediates to the finished flavours or food ingredients with flavouring properties.
Legal basis for valuation
The addition or use of flavourings and food ingredients with flavouring properties is regulated by the EU Flavourings Regulation (EC) No 1334/2008. Our experts can help you assess marketability, maximum levels or labelling requirements. In doing so, we refer to a number of different legal bases:
- Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin (consolidated text)
- Regulation (EC) No 1334/2008 on flavourings and certain food ingredients with flavouring properties for use in and on foods (consolidated text)
- Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/915on maximum levels for certain contaminants in food (consolidated text)
