WEBINAR: Food Contaminants - Zoom on Organics
Contaminants in food from organic farming
The main focus of laboratory testing of organic food is on pesticides, as residues may indicate non-compliance with organic farming rules. However, contaminants from the environment, farming practices and food processing are also relevant and differences between organic and conventional foods are observed, sometimes different than expected, e.g. for mycotoxins.
This webinar will explore the legal requirements and provide operational state of the art information, including global data and trends on food contaminants that may be riskier for organic products (versus conventional) or vice versa. The webinar will also look at trends in emerging issues: MOSH, MOAH, PFAS.
