New Eurofins site for microbiology in Berlin
Eurofins BioTesting Services Ost enhances the Eurofins network in the German capital
June 2020. Eurofins BioTesting Services Ost GmbH will expand the Eurofins Group from late summer 2020 in Berlin. The new laboratory offers microbiological analyses in food and feed as well as hygiene controls in the expertise and quality you can rely on from Eurofins. The core elements of the new service offer are individual consulting and short turnaround times. The latter is achieved by a high degree of automation and the selection of validated rapid methods, including PCR methods.
The new location
In May of this year, the employees moved into the premises of the Leuchtenfabrik in Berlin Oberschöneweide. They have a total of 300 square meters of state-of-the-art laboratory space and 200 square meters for logistics and administration at their disposal.
Our experts are currently preparing the laboratory for the inspection of the DAkkS at the end of August 2020. If the outcome is positive, accreditation according to DIN EN ISO 17025 is expected by the end of 2020.

Dr Gabriele Hofer
Dr Gabriele Hofer and her team of experienced scientists and laboratory assistants will take over the management of the new laboratory location. Dr Hofer has already been working for the Eurofins Group since 2009 and was responsible for establishing the microbiology site in Hamburg.
