Smart food safety concepts for your start-up
Innovation meets experience
Aug 2020. Developing and ultimately establishing a new food product can be a big challenge for start-ups. Creative product design is only one of many aspects that lead to a successful product. However, in order to be able to succeed against market competitors and in the retail trade, all aspects must be in line. Considering food law regulations regarding product quality, labelling, listing requirements of the food retail trade and many other issues make it difficult for many start-ups to access the market. Many questions arise before the product has found its place on the shelves of the food retail trade, e.g:
- Which analyses have to be carried out?
- Does my product contain traces of allergens?
- How should I label my product?
- What is the shelf life of my product?
- Is the packaging safe?

Kale&me nominated us for the Food Start-up Partner Award and: we won!
The Food Start-up Partner Award is an award from HHS Net UG, a network for start-ups based in Hamburg. Its Food Innovation Camp has developed into an active think tank around the topic of food and brings together experts from retail, gastronomy, investment and politics. We are happy to be a part of it, to contribute our expertise and to learn about new, creative approaches of the start-ups every day.
